Synopsis

The Island of Dr. Moreau is a science fiction novel written by H.G. Wells. The story follows Edward Prendick, a shipwreck survivor who is rescued by a passing boat and taken to an isolated island. On the island, he discovers that it is inhabited by strange creatures who have been surgically altered to resemble humans.

As Prendick explores the island, he learns that these creatures are the result of experiments conducted by the island's owner, Dr. Moreau. Dr. Moreau is a mad scientist who believes he can create a new race of beings by combining human and animal DNA.

Prendick soon realizes that the creatures are not fully human and are prone to violent outbursts. He becomes increasingly disturbed by Dr. Moreau's cruel methods and the implications of his experiments.

As tensions rise on the island, Prendick must find a way to escape before he becomes the next victim of Dr. Moreau's twisted creations.
