Synopsis

Madagascar is a 2005 animated film produced by DreamWorks Animation. The story follows four zoo animals - Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo - who find themselves stranded on the island of Madagascar after a series of mishaps.

As they try to survive in the wild, they encounter a group of lemurs led by King Julien XIII. The lemurs initially welcome the newcomers, but tensions arise when Alex's predatory instincts start to resurface.

Madagascar is a heartwarming tale of friendship, adventure, and self-discovery as the animals navigate their way back to New York City. The film was a commercial success and spawned several sequels.
