Synopsis

Making a Murderer is a documentary series that follows the case of Steven Avery, a man from Wisconsin who was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault and attempted murder in 1985. After serving 18 years in prison, Avery was exonerated by DNA evidence in 2003 and released.

However, just two years later, Avery found himself back in the legal system, this time accused of the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. The series explores the questionable tactics used by law enforcement during the investigation and trial, raising doubts about Avery's guilt.

As the case unfolds, viewers are taken on a rollercoaster of emotions, questioning the fairness of the justice system and the possibility of corruption within it. Making a Murderer sheds light on the complexities of the legal system and the impact it can have on individuals and their families.
