Mara is a psychological horror film that follows criminal psychologist Kate Fuller as she investigates the murder of a man who was seemingly strangled in his sleep by his wife, Mara. As Kate delves deeper into the case, she discovers a dark entity known as the "Mara" that preys on people while they sleep, causing them to experience terrifying nightmares and ultimately leading to their deaths.
As Kate struggles to uncover the truth behind the murders, she finds herself becoming increasingly paranoid and haunted by the Mara herself. With her own sanity at stake, Kate must confront the evil force before it consumes her completely.
Mara explores themes of guilt, fear, and the power of the mind to create its own horrors. The film keeps viewers on the edge of their seats as Kate races against time to stop the Mara before it claims its next victim.
