MATTN & Paris Hilton: Lone Wolves Soundtrack (2019)

Synopsis

The track opens without any musical instruments; just MATTN simple layered vocals, which are distorted at length to different pitches. It's not long before the track plunges into a tribal beat accompanied by pan flutes and a rounded bass, with Paris contributing vocals on the rap parts, before the bass drops out to expose airy synths as they shimmer above the melody. Merging between genres too, MATTN also adds elements of tropical house into the tribal mix, demonstrating her genre-hopping ability as well as her talent to shift dynamics continuously through the track.
