Synopsis

With the success of her first book and planning to marry ZIAD, her sensitive, stable and bookish fiancé, MAY BRENNAN has it all. At least that's what he would like people to believe. Rejoining his family in Amman, he has returned to the chaos of his previous existence. Her headstrong mother NADINE, a born-again Christian, so disapproves of her Muslim fiancé that she plans to boycott the wedding. His younger sisters DALIA and YASMINE behave like his children. And his father EDWARD, from whom he's estranged, is suddenly suspiciously interested in making amends. As her wedding day approaches, May is increasingly confronted with the trauma of her parents' divorce. And soon, her once carefully structured life spirals hopelessly out of control.
