Synopsis

Inspired by a series of authentic records, the biopic is a poignant and harrowing account of the rise and fall of the Athenian bohemian and influential neo-romantic poet, Napoleon Lapathiotis (1888-1944). Against the backdrop of pivotal events and significant socio-political changes, the movie sheds light on the turbulent life of the artist, who stirred up controversy because of his sexual orientation, his communist sympathies, and his addiction to drugs.
