Riya lives a middle-class lifestyle in Mumbai and works as an assistant director for a movie producer, Bharucha. After the death of her mother, she is comforted by a young man, Anthony Gonsalves, in the churchyard. He introduces himself as Jeffrey's son, whom he had in 1986, works as a waiter at Jimmy's Pub, Bandra and wants to be a Bollywood actor. Thereafter, she meets him again at the studios when he arrives to audition for the role of Mark Anthony in a new version of Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar'. Both were attracted to each other and ended up getting to know each other.
