Synopsis

Of Freaks and Men is a Russian film set in the early 20th century, during the time of the Tsarist regime. The story revolves around a wealthy merchant who becomes obsessed with photography and voyeurism. He hires a photographer to take explicit photos of his daughter, who is unaware of his intentions.

Meanwhile, a young medical student becomes involved with a group of revolutionaries who are planning to overthrow the government. The student falls in love with the merchant's daughter, leading to a series of events that culminate in tragedy.
