Gerard Lumley and his family are on their way to visit relatives in Maine. Lost on the back highways of New England, the Lumley's end up stranded on the outskirts of the abandoned town of Jerusalem's Lot where almost forty years early the town was overrun by vampires. Leaving his wife and daughter behind, Gerard Lumley goes for help and finds it from two unlikely heroes in a bar.
