Synopsis

Anthropoid is a historical thriller film based on the true story of Operation Anthropoid, a mission to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich, one of the main architects of the Holocaust during World War II.

The film follows two Czechoslovak soldiers, Jan Kubis and Jozef Gabcik, who are parachuted into their occupied homeland to carry out the assassination. As they plan and execute the mission, they face numerous challenges and obstacles, including betrayal and the relentless pursuit of the Nazi forces.

Anthropoid explores the moral dilemmas faced by the soldiers as they grapple with the consequences of their actions and the sacrifices they must make for the greater good. The film builds tension and suspense as the mission unfolds, culminating in a dramatic and harrowing climax.

Through its gripping storytelling and powerful performances, Anthropoid sheds light on a lesser-known chapter of World War II history and pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought against tyranny and oppression.
