Synopsis

Or (My Treasure) follows the story of Or, a 17 or 18-year-old student who shoulders a lot of responsibilities. She works evenings at a restaurant, recycles cans and bottles for cash, and tries to prevent her mother Ruthie from returning to streetwalking in Tel Aviv.

Ruthie, despite calling Or "my treasure," is a burden on her daughter. Recently out of the hospital and weak, Or manages to find her a job as a house cleaner. However, the allure of quick money on the streets proves difficult for Ruthie to resist.

Or's emotions become even more tumultuous when the mother of the youth she's in love with warns her to stay away. As love fades and Ruthie's situation seems hopeless, Or's choices become increasingly limited.
