Synopsis

Out of Time is a story set 100 years in the future, where cops use advanced devices to chase criminals. However, one cop named Channing Taylor prefers to stick to the old-fashioned methods.

When a criminal named Richard Marcus breaks into a research center, Taylor decides to chase him down. Unfortunately, Marcus manages to escape, leading to Taylor being berated by his boss for not utilizing the equipment invented by his ancestor, Maxwell Taylor.

Despite being suspended, Taylor believes that Marcus was after a time machine being developed at the research center. He theorizes that Marcus sent the machine into the future and plans to retrieve it when it materializes.

Taylor tracks down the location where he believes Marcus sent the time machine and, as expected, Marcus appears and boards the machine. Taylor seizes the opportunity and joins Marcus as the machine transports them 100 years into the past.

Now in a different era, Taylor must navigate this unfamiliar world while searching for Marcus. Eventually, he gets arrested and meets his ancestor, who is considered a joke in this time period. Together, they attempt to work towards a common goal.
