Synopsis

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is a spin-off of the original Penny Dreadful series, set in 1938 Los Angeles during the Golden Age of Hollywood. The show follows Detective Tiago Vega as he investigates a gruesome murder that leads him into a world of supernatural forces and political intrigue.

As Tiago delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a sinister plot orchestrated by the powerful and mysterious Magda, a shape-shifting demon who thrives on chaos and destruction. Along the way, Tiago must navigate a city on the brink of social upheaval, where tensions between the Mexican-American community and the LAPD are at an all-time high.

With the help of his partner Lewis Michener and a cast of colorful characters, Tiago must confront his own demons and make difficult choices that will determine the fate of Los Angeles. As the city teeters on the edge of darkness, Tiago must decide whether to embrace the light or succumb to the shadows.
