Synopsis

Pity is a psychological thriller film that follows the story of a man named Andreas who is dealing with a tragic loss. As he struggles to cope with his grief, he becomes addicted to the sympathy and attention he receives from others. This unhealthy obsession with pity leads him down a dark path, where he begins to manipulate those around him to fulfill his need for validation.

As Andreas's behavior becomes more erratic and dangerous, those closest to him start to realize the extent of his manipulation. The film delves into themes of mental illness, manipulation, and the destructive power of seeking pity from others.

Directed by Babis Makridis, Pity offers a chilling look at the consequences of unchecked emotional manipulation and the lengths some will go to in order to feel validated in their pain.
