In Boston, Mary (Henson), a skilled assassin, kills her target Marcus Miller, a bookie, in his apartment. She discovers that Marcus had a child, a boy named Danny (Jahi Di'Allo Winston), when she finds him in his room playing video games. Guilt-ridden, Mary says goodbye to her. A year later, Danny is living alone and has been working for a criminal named Uncle (Berkeley) and Mary has been watching him from afar. When a drug delivery to Jerome (Burke) goes wrong, Danny asks for more money, finds it in a refrigerator, and takes it to the uncle. However, Uncle realizes something is missing and punches Danny when the boy says that he used him to get food, and Uncle threatens to hurt the boy. When Danny is taking a nap on a bench, he notices someone passing his bag and chases after him. Pulling the gun from him and causing the robber to drop it, Danny passes out and falls to the ground. Moments later, Mary finds him.
