Synopsis

Cleveland. Having met online on a dating app, a young man and young woman are on their first date, their first face-to-face meeting. In the process of he driving her home at the end of their date, they are pulled over by a singular police officer on a minor traffic violation.

The encounter between the officer and the pair quickly escalates to a point when the young man, able to get the officer's firearm, shoots the officer dead in a case of self defense in the officer using any excuse to provoke them, he already having shot the young woman in the leg and in the process of beating the young man with no real cause.

While the young man and young woman were not even at the point of acknowledging to the other whether they would have gone on a second date, this incident forever binds them together. The issue is that the officer is white and the young couple is black in they deciding how best to proceed.
