Synopsis

Raising Arizona is a 1987 American crime comedy film directed by Joel Coen. The film stars Nicolas Cage as H.I. "Hi" McDunnough, an ex-convict who meets and marries Edwina "Ed" McDunnough, played by Holly Hunter, a police officer. Unable to have children of their own, Hi and Ed decide to kidnap one of the quintuplets born to Nathan Arizona, a wealthy furniture magnate.

As they navigate the challenges of parenthood and evade the law, Hi and Ed find themselves in increasingly absurd situations. The film is known for its quirky humor, fast-paced dialogue, and unique visual style.

Raising Arizona received critical acclaim upon its release and has since become a cult classic. It is considered one of the Coen brothers' best films and a standout in the crime comedy genre.
