Synopsis

Ravens

A teenager whose aspirations move away from the family farm, refuses to inherit the hard and demanding routine of his father, a stubborn farmer who extols the virtues of work and sacrifice. As her conflict collides with the challenging economic and emotional realities, her father's paranoid behavior will escalate, profoundly altering the lives of all family members. Anchored by an immersive style that infuses every painting with austere beauty, the first feature film by Jens Assur is a drama set in the 70s that plunges into the agrarian life of Sweden and the painful sacrifices that a family must make to survive.
