Synopsis

Remote Control is a science fiction novel written by Nnedi Okorafor. The story follows a young girl named Sankofa who lives in a future version of Ghana where technology and magic coexist. Sankofa is a famous influencer who gains the ability to control objects and people with her mind after being struck by a strange meteorite. As she navigates her newfound powers, she becomes embroiled in a dangerous political conspiracy that threatens the stability of her society.
