Not knowing what to expect, Daphne, an insecure young Cypriot, returns to her hometown of Nicosia, only to realise that nothing has changed. Then, Daphne hears an announcement on the radio about two Greek Cypriots who have been presumed missing since the Turkish invasion in 1974: unexpectedly good news that rekindles her hopes of finding her long-lost father again. As a result, even though Anna, Daphne's self-confident photographer sister, is convinced that all hope is lost, she decides to give in curiosity and Daphne's impulse to find their father, and just like that, they embark on a long, risky journey to southern Turkey to locate him. However, in this peril-laden quest for truth on hostile territory, there is no guarantee that Daphne and Anna will return home with their beloved parent. What awaits at the end of the line?
