Synopsis

Offren is a novel written by Swedish author Stefan Spjut. The story follows a young woman named Rebecka who returns to her hometown in northern Sweden after the death of her mother. As she begins to sort through her mother's belongings, she uncovers a dark family secret that has been hidden for generations.

Rebecka soon learns that her ancestors were involved in a mysterious cult known as Offren, which worshipped a powerful and malevolent deity. As she delves deeper into the history of the cult, she realizes that its influence still lingers in the present day, and that she may be the key to stopping its dark legacy from continuing.

As Rebecka unravels the secrets of Offren, she must confront her own fears and doubts, and decide whether to embrace her family's dark past or break free from its grip. The novel is a gripping tale of mystery, horror, and the power of family ties, and will keep readers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
