Synopsis

Serial

There has always been a thin line between society and the media, and struggling TV-news reporter Roseanne Crystal is about to cross it. She travels to the quiet town of Rhinebeck, New York to cover the story of local hero cop Gary Whitlock. While shooting background footage, she and her crew accidentally discover a grisly murder scene. At first, it seems like a random violent crime, but when another body is discovered, signs point to a possible serial killer. Sensing a hot story, Roseanne broadcasts a series of sensational reports that send the small town into a tailspin, which prompts everyone to ask the question: Who is more dangerous, the serial killer or the reporter who made him famous?

User reviews

Steven Miller
5/10

On the other hand, some tracks in the Serial soundtrack feel repetitive and uninspired, failing to evoke the intended emotions or enhance the storytelling. While the overall score manages to create a sense of mystery and intrigue, certain pieces lack creativity and originality, making them forgettable and unremarkable in the grand scheme of the series.

Richard Rodriguez

The soundtrack of Serial perfectly captures the tension and suspense of the story, with haunting melodies and eerie sounds that keep the audience on edge. The use of subtle background music during key moments enhances the atmosphere and adds depth to the narrative, making it a truly immersive experience for the viewers.

The music choices often felt mismatched with the tone of the scenes, detracting from the overall viewing experience and making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the narrative.
