Synopsis

Seven Pounds is a drama film directed by Gabriele Muccino. The story follows Ben Thomas, an IRS agent who is haunted by a tragic secret from his past. Consumed by guilt, Ben sets out on a mission to change the lives of seven strangers in need.

As Ben gets to know each person on his list, he discovers that they are all connected in some way. Through acts of kindness and selflessness, Ben hopes to atone for his past mistakes and find redemption.

However, as Ben's plan unfolds, he begins to form a deep connection with one of the strangers, a woman named Emily. As their relationship grows, Ben must confront his own demons and decide if he is truly capable of forgiveness and love.
