Synopsis

Skin

Jewel and Adam are two totally different Los Angeles teenagers who meet and fall in love with one another at first sight. But their sudden romance is threatened by the different feuding families they come from.

Jewel's liberal Jewish father, Larry Goldman, is an entrepreneur who specializes with pornography as well as some not-entirely-legal ties, while Adam's conservative Catholic father, Tom Roam, a city district attorney, is obsessed with bringing Goldman down in any way possible.

The only thing both men have in common is a personal vow to halt the 'Romeo and Juliet-type' romantic union between their teenage children at all costs.

The soundtrack of Skin perfectly captures the emotional intensity and drama of the forbidden love story between Jewel and Adam. The music enhances the tension between their feuding families and adds depth to their complex relationship.

Charles Robinson

The soundtrack of Skin often felt overpowering and intrusive, drowning out the dialogue and overshadowing important moments in the film. The imbalance between the sound design and the narrative made it difficult to fully engage with the story, leading to a sense of frustration and disappointment in the overall audio experience.

I found the musical choices in Skin to be cliché and uninspired, relying on generic soundscapes that failed to bring anything new or unique to the storytelling. The lack of originality in the soundtrack detracted from the overall viewing experience and failed to capture the essence of the characters' inner struggles.
