Synopsis

Gurin the gnome loves to play pranks on others. Despite various warnings, he just can't help it, and one morning he wakes up with a fox tail as punishment. Rumors of his fabulous tail soon reach the capital, and the widow Stengelføhn-Glad tries to hire private detective Solan Gundersen to find Gurin. He wants to be the envy of his upper-class friends by having the luxurious fox tail. But Solan and his partner Ludvig don't want Gurin to come to any harm. And after refusing prevention, he set out to find the gnome before the widow.
