Björn Skifs is a Swedish singer, songwriter, actor and screenwriter. He formed his first musical group the Slam Creepers in 1962. They broke up in 1969 and Skifs went on to form a new band, Blåblus (roughly translating into English as "Blue Suede"; Suede is the French loanword describing the brushed Swedish style . leather) in 1972. As the lead singer of Blue Swede, the band had a Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit in 1974 with a cover of Mark James' "Hooked on a Feeling." Skifs left the band in 1976 to pursue a solo career.
