Something's Gotta Give is a romantic comedy film directed by Nancy Meyers. The story follows Harry Sanborn, a wealthy music mogul in his 60s who is dating a much younger woman named Marin. During a weekend getaway at Marin's mother's beach house, Harry suffers a heart attack and ends up falling for her mother, Erica Barry, a successful playwright in her 50s.
As Harry and Erica navigate their unexpected attraction, they must also deal with their own personal baggage and insecurities. Harry's fear of commitment and Erica's past heartbreaks create obstacles in their budding relationship. Meanwhile, Marin and her sister Zoe struggle to come to terms with their mother's new romance.
Something's Gotta Give explores themes of love, age, and self-discovery in a humorous and heartfelt way. With standout performances from Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton, the film captures the complexities of relationships and the importance of embracing change.
