Synopsis

Special Correspondents is a comedy film directed by Ricky Gervais. The story follows a struggling radio journalist and his technician who fake their own kidnapping during a rebel uprising in South America. They hide out in New York City while pretending to report live from the war zone.

As the two men become celebrities for their supposed bravery, they must continue to deceive everyone around them. However, their lies begin to unravel as they get caught up in their own web of deceit.
