Synopsis

Speciesism: The Movie follows director Mark Devries as he investigates the hidden truth behind modern farms in the United States. Most animals used for food are raised in giant, bizarre factories located in remote areas of the countryside.

The documentary takes viewers on a funny, frightening adventure, exploring these hidden factories, flying above their toxic manure lagoons, and confronting their owners.

In 1975, a young writer challenged the idea of human superiority over other species in a book that slowly gained attention. Today, a growing number of individuals and activists are adopting the concept of speciesism, which condemns the mistreatment of animals in these factories as one of the greatest evils in history.

Speciesism: The Movie introduces viewers to the leaders of this movement and delves into their mission to combat speciesism for the first time on film.
