Synopsis

Sputnik is a Russian science fiction horror film directed by Egor Abramenko. The story is set in the Soviet Union in the 1980s and follows a psychologist named Tatyana Klimova who is recruited to assess a cosmonaut named Konstantin Veshnyakov after his return from a mysterious space mission.

As Tatyana delves deeper into Konstantin's psyche, she discovers that he brought back a dangerous alien creature from space. The creature, known as Sputnik, has the ability to inhabit and control human bodies, posing a threat to everyone around it.

Sputnik explores themes of isolation, fear, and the consequences of scientific experimentation. The film has been praised for its tense atmosphere, strong performances, and unique take on the sci-fi horror genre.
