Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity Soundtrack (1995)

Synopsis

Fully voiced 2-D point and click adventure, structured like an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). Near the Romulan Neutral Zone, Federation starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D encounters a ship of Garidian dissidents, fleeing from their government's forces. Jean-Luc Picard, Captain of the Enterprise, agrees to grant the dissidents asylum on his ship. The three political refugees ask him to help them find a mythical ancient "Fifth Scroll" that their legends mention as the lost part of their historical heritage left by "The Lawgiver". They believe that the scroll holds proof that the subjugated slave class of their world, that's on the brink of open rebellion, ought to have the same rights as others. Picard agrees, but the truth behind the Fifth Scroll turns out to be much more complicated than previously thought. Their search takes them to a mysterious ancient alien mechanism, which the now extinct Chodak alien race that made it called the Unity Device. The Romulans decide to risk an open war with the Federation in order to get this device. However, there's another mysterious player that wants the device. During their adventure, the crew of Enterprise also gets to go on several away missions, such as when they investigate a Merten's space station that's suffered a strange electrical attack or the disappearance of a scientist on the jungle world of Morrasia. The game is fully voiced by the cast from the show. The gameplay consists of dialogue sections (sometimes with multiple options) and point and click adventure sections, when the away team is exploring areas in connection with their search or areas that need immediate help. On occasion, the Enterprise will have to engage in space battles and this is also represented through an adventure game interface.
