Super tells the story of Frank Darrbo, a hapless fry cook whose life takes a turn for the worse when his wife Sarah leaves him for a drug dealer named Jacques.
Desperate to win her back, Frank comes up with a plan to report her kidnapped and rescue her from Jacques' clutches.
After a vision inspired by Christian TV, Frank decides to become a superhero in order to fight evil and save Sarah.
He creates a costume, armed with only a pipe wrench as his weapon, and sets out to stop crimes in the city.
However, Frank soon realizes that being a vigilante comes with its own set of challenges - his actions are seen as illegal by the police, his moral compass is skewed, and Jacques' gang is armed and dangerous.
With the help of Libby, a clerk at a comic book store, Frank sets out on a mission to rescue Sarah. But the question remains - what chance do they have against the odds stacked against them?
