Synopsis

The film about one of Sweden's most beloved artists and his dramatic, contrast-filled and far too short life. Ted Gärdestad's incomparable breakthrough is unparalleled in Swedish pop history. In the early 70's, Sweden was gripped by a veritable Ted fever, and the whole country was fascinated by his joy, energy, talent and amazing songs. From one day to the next, he became Sweden's first real teenage idol. The film tells the story of one of the greatest composers of our time and his unwavering relationship with his brother Kenneth, with music and with life. Ted's fate came to affect an entire nation. His music has in many ways defined Swedish pop with ingenious lyrics by his brother Kenneth, full of life, love, pain and hope.
