Synopsis

The Act is a gripping true crime series that follows the disturbing story of Dee Dee Blanchard and her daughter Gypsy Rose. Dee Dee is a devoted mother who appears to be caring for her sick daughter, who she claims suffers from a variety of illnesses. However, as the series unfolds, it becomes clear that Dee Dee is actually manipulating Gypsy and fabricating her medical conditions for her own gain.

As Gypsy begins to uncover the truth about her mother's lies, she becomes determined to break free from her control and live a life of her own. The series delves into the complexities of their relationship and the shocking events that ultimately lead to a tragic outcome.

The Act is a chilling portrayal of a mother-daughter relationship gone terribly wrong, and the lengths one woman will go to in order to maintain her facade of perfection.
