Synopsis

The Asterisk War is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu Miyazaki and illustrated by Okiura. The story is set in a city called Asterisk, which was built on the remains of a disaster. In this city, students attend schools to learn how to use their supernatural powers known as Genestella.

The protagonist, Ayato Amagiri, transfers to Seidoukan Academy and meets a mysterious girl named Julis-Alexia von Riessfeld. Together, they participate in the Phoenix Festa, a tournament where students battle each other to showcase their abilities.

As Ayato and Julis-Alexia form a strong bond, they uncover dark secrets about the city and its ruling families. They must navigate through political intrigue and dangerous battles to protect their friends and uncover the truth behind Asterisk's creation.
