Baghdad 1571. Dr. John Dee asks the philosopher Al Caleb to translate some pages from the book "Necronomicon" from old Arabic to English. Arkham 500 years later: a copy of Necronomicon, the terrible book written by Abdul Alhazred that allows the reader to evoke dark forces is still in human hands. The survivors of the human race, on the verge of extinction, are fighting a long-term war against the creatures of darkness who continue to live in the bodies of their deceased companions.
