The Prodigal Son
Once upon a time, there was a wealthy man who had two sons. The younger son asked his father for his share of the inheritance and left home to live a life of luxury. He squandered all his money on extravagant living and soon found himself penniless.
After hitting rock bottom, the young man realized his mistake and decided to return home to ask for forgiveness. When he arrived, his father welcomed him with open arms and threw a lavish party to celebrate his return.
Meanwhile, the older son was resentful of his brother's return and refused to join the festivities. The father tried to explain that they should rejoice because his lost son had been found. The parable of the Prodigal Son teaches us about forgiveness, redemption, and the unconditional love of a parent.
