This is a light-hearted drama set in the 1940s. THE SCREENWRITERS takes us into the world of the once-great Stewart Harvey, and the awkward new kid in town, Chip Leninskovich, screenwriters, who together must craft a feature-length script in less than twenty-four hours. Of course, they both have their own ideas about how and why the story should be shaped and they must work out their differences. Heckling the writers throughout their ordeal, co-workers and studio enemies force their ideas on the burgeoning script. Diva director Forrest Woods, glamorous actress Elaine Gibson, philosophy guards Frank and Henry, and Stu's ex-girlfriend Agnes DeMint inject comic relief.
