The Whistlers is a Romanian crime thriller film directed by Corneliu Porumboiu. The story follows a corrupt police officer named Cristi who is involved in a money laundering scheme. In order to free a criminal from prison, Cristi must learn a secret whistling language used by the criminals on the Canary Islands. As he delves deeper into the criminal underworld, Cristi finds himself caught in a web of deceit and betrayal.
