Synopsis

"The Wildest Dream" is a documentary film that tells the story of climber Conrad Anker's quest to recreate the final climb of British explorer George Mallory, who disappeared on Mount Everest in 1924. Anker, along with fellow climber Leo Houlding, sets out to solve the mystery of Mallory's disappearance and determine whether he reached the summit before his death. Through interviews with historians, climbers, and Mallory's descendants, the film explores the challenges and dangers of climbing Everest, as well as the enduring allure of the world's highest peak. As Anker and Houlding face their own struggles on the mountain, they are forced to confront their own motivations and fears, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of Mallory's fateful journey."
