Synopsis

Three Fugitives tells the story of Daniel Lucas, a man recently released from prison after serving time for 14 bank robberies. One day, he walks into a bank to open an account, only to find himself taken hostage by Ned Perry, who attempts to rob the bank.

Detective Dugan, aware of Lucas's criminal past, assumes that Lucas and Ned are working together on the heist. Forced to go along with the plan, Lucas must now come up with a way to escape with Ned. The situation becomes even more complicated when Ned's 6-year-old daughter Meg, who has been mute since her mother's death, is also caught up in the chaos.

Ned's motivation for robbing the bank is revealed to be his love for Meg, as he wants to provide her with the psychiatric care she needs and secure custody to raise her. Meg, in turn, forms a bond with both Ned and Lucas as they go on the run from the police, creating a makeshift family in the process.
