Tokyo Sonata is a Japanese film directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa that tells the story of a middle-class family living in Tokyo. The father, Ryuhei, loses his job but decides to keep it a secret from his family. Meanwhile, his wife, Megumi, is unhappy with their lack of communication and suspects that Ryuhei is hiding something.
