Toto: Africa Soundtrack (1982)

Synopsis

The music video was directed by Steve Barron. In the video, a researcher at a library tries to match a fragment of a shield image to the book from which it was torn. As he continues his search, he is occasionally noticed by a librarian working at a desk, while the jungle natives begin to close in on the library. When the investigator finds a book titled Africa, the native throws a spear (the shield the native is carrying is the same as the one in the picture), knocking over stacks of books. Africa opens to the page from which the piece was torn, but a lantern lands on her and sets her on fire, whereupon the librarian's glasses are shown falling to the floor. Scenes are interspersed with shots of a spinning globe and the band performing on top of a stack of giant hardcover books, with Africa being the tallest.
