Synopsis

Trance is a psychological thriller film directed by Danny Boyle. The story follows Simon, an art auctioneer who gets involved in a heist to steal a valuable painting. During the robbery, Simon suffers a head injury and forgets where he hid the painting. To recover his memory, he seeks the help of a hypnotherapist named Elizabeth.

As Elizabeth delves into Simon's subconscious mind, she uncovers dark secrets and hidden motives that complicate the search for the missing painting. The line between reality and illusion blurs as Simon's memories become increasingly unreliable, leading to a thrilling and suspenseful climax.

Trance explores themes of memory, identity, and deception, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats as the mystery unfolds. With its twists and turns, the film challenges viewers to question what is real and what is imagined, creating a gripping and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
