Synopsis

Tre solar is a science fiction novel written by Swedish author Johanna Sinisalo. The story is set in a future where Earth is facing an energy crisis and three solar power plants have been built in the Sahara Desert to provide renewable energy to the world.

The novel follows the lives of three main characters: a Finnish engineer named Laura who works at one of the solar plants, a young African boy named Nkosi who lives near the plants and dreams of a better life, and a mysterious woman named Yaaba who has a connection to the plants that goes beyond the physical.

As the three characters' lives become intertwined, they must navigate the complexities of power, politics, and personal relationships in a world on the brink of collapse. Tre solar explores themes of environmentalism, technology, and the impact of human actions on the planet.
