Synopsis

Tulip Fever is a historical drama film set in 17th century Amsterdam, during the peak of the tulip mania. The story follows a young woman named Sophia, who is married to a wealthy merchant but falls in love with the artist hired to paint her portrait.

As their forbidden romance blossoms, they decide to invest in the tulip market in hopes of making enough money to run away together. However, their plans are complicated by the merchant's suspicions and the volatile nature of the tulip market.

As the tulip mania reaches its peak, Sophia and the artist must navigate a dangerous world of greed, deception, and betrayal in order to achieve their dreams of freedom and love.
