Synopsis

Gussie is a talented photographer who wants to break free of her small Maryland seaside town and see the world. Henry wants to stay and run the local newspaper. The two high school sweethearts go their separate ways until Gussie returns to visit her parents. Henry has married Ruth and had a son while Gussie is single. He has kept track of her career and still carries a torch for her. He invites her for dinner at his house one night and they begin an affair after Henry walks her home. Thus begins a bittersweet affair that proves you can't change the past or someone you love.
