Synopsis

Wedding March 5: My Boyfriend's Back

Mick Turner and Olivia Pershing, proprietors of the Willow Lake Inn in Vermont, are approaching the twenty-fifth anniversary of their first date. While it is important to both of them having only reconnected a few years ago and thus apart for over twenty of those years, each believes the other doesn't remember. Without telling the other, each wants to do something special and grand to mark the occasion surprising the other. In telling their mutual friend and the Inn's chef Duke in enlisting his help, Duke gets caught in the middle in not wanting to spill any beans to either while making sure the plans both Mick and Olivia have will not compromise the other in marking that special day.

Meanwhile, Annalise Collins, known as one of the best wedding planners in New York City in her A-type personality attention to detail and organization, has just started her own one-person event planning company. Its first wedding, that of Jen and Lucas, will be held at the Inn. She has to ensure that it goes off without a hitch as its success or failure will dictate whether she gets investor funding to get the company going with a full complement of staff. What she is not aware of is that Lucas' best man is her ex-boyfriend, Brad Buckley, who she has not seen or talked to in five years. Their split was not an amicable one in Brad, who owns and operates an outdoor adventure expedition business and who is more laid back than Annalise, breaking it off with her the day they were supposed to move to New York City together. While Brad has subsequently tried to contact her, Annalise has refused to speak to him. The question then becomes whether Annalise and Brad's unexpected reunion will negatively affect the wedding and thus kibosh her chances for the investor funding effectively ruining her career, or if they can overcome the issues of their split which deep down were the result of love without either knowing it.
