Synopsis

Welcome to Marwen is a film that tells the true story of Mark Hogancamp, a man who creates a miniature World War II village called Marwen as a way to cope with a traumatic brain injury he suffered after being brutally attacked.

Mark populates Marwen with dolls that represent himself and the people in his life, using the village as a form of therapy to work through his emotional struggles and fears.

As Mark immerses himself in the world of Marwen, he finds the strength to confront his past and the courage to face his attackers in court. The film explores themes of healing, resilience, and the power of imagination in overcoming adversity.
